what do you want from people who are told that when they die there is nothing left of them, nada, zilch, goose eggs... and yet God will raise "them" up in the end.... some here have yet to see this. if all you are in the end is data in the mind of God, then it aint you when that data is remade, its a clone, a dopple ganger...a copy. slave your life away now, so that a copy of you can enjoy paradise in your place (^_^).

Jehovah's Witnesses Are An Illogical People & They Should Be Embarrassed!
by minimus inquestion a witness in a very logical manner about their view of blood transfusions and blood fractions and see what you'll get.. ask a witness where in the bible it states that you can't talk to a disfellowshipped family member unless he or she lived in your home.. ask a witness why they need 2 witnesses to establish that a child has been molested but they don't need 2 witnesses to establish that a spouse has been unfaithful and that the accuser may now be free to "scripturally" remarry.. have a jehovah's witness prove to you that filling out a service report is necessary for a christian to have god's approval.. can you think of other proofs that the witness religion is totally illogical??

JWs are having a tough time
by drew sagan inyesterday i made a post that discussed some common argumentation methods that jws use to defend their religion and why they are faulty.
you can read that post here.
in that post i mentioned how jws live in a system that encourages, rewards, and praises people for using poor thinking methods.

I think the problem is that JWs and MORMONs are both taught that the RIGHT candidate will have the RIGHT heart condition and will just LISTEN and NOT debate...so when debate begins, they KNOW they have found a dead end and its time to move on.

Slowly killing myself
by 5thGeneration injust got back from the doctor and he was alarmed at my liver function test.
he sent me for an ultrasound of my liver and i'm being tested for hep.. problem:.
my drinking way too much is because i have a hard time dealing with wanting to leave the 'truth' but can't.

you can acheive via meditation, anything you can acheive via drink or drugs... the key is to understand what exactly drink does to benefit you. 1. its a mild poison which shuts down the most active centers of your brain. a. this is normally the engines of suppression, those ideas, beliefs, thoughts, etc. which help you to focus your desires upon a single useful goal... but because they often came from abusive parents or religious authorities those control instructions are often abusive and dictatorial and without options. by making these instructions more conscious and more directly understood as to their source, you can tell them to shut up without alcohol. you can tell them you know where they come from and that they are not divine mandates and not beyond questioning and you can think for yourself, thank you very much. When I realized that the source of all guilt was a jury made up of symbolic people representing people that mattered to me...and realizing that they are no smarter nor better educated then I am, made their opinions on my life irrelevant.

the HIVE mind works like the borg of startrek, the individual drones are expendable without batting an eye as long as the collective marches on. In nature this is like allowing the week and sickly to be sacrificed to the predators by keeping them at the back of the line... makes for efficiency in a cold nazi like way. the JW that CONvertED me once told me that if the GB told him to slay all non-JWs because it was the big A, he would do so without hesitation.

Bets on when the UN prophecy will be dropped?
by marmot innow that i'm free to bet, i figured it would be neat to start a pool on when the watchtower is going to change light bulbs on the prophecy about the united nations turning on worldwide religion.
there is no doubt in my mind that this prediction will be dropped.
not only is this the longest-running unchanged prediction in the wt's history (1925 and 1975 had much shorter gestations) it's the last detailed concrete prediction the society has left in its bag of tricks.

this is one of their only prophecies that actually makes sense. religion started because the original king priests were taking all the heat for crop failures and needed a fall guy...so they invented the high priesthood...but these guys were no dumbies and so they learned how to get people to blame themsleves and not them...and that gave them tremendous power. its not hard to see how one day the politicos would want sole domination and take back the power that religion has had over mankind...using their new bride, Science as the excuse to divorce the old whore.

I am finally reading Crisis of Conscience and Awakening...
by LongHairGal ini finally obtained these books from a friend.
they won't make any difference about how i feel about the religion now because i already know what i know and have so for at least seven years.
i started reading the first chapter or so of c of c and was horrified about what went on in the beginning of the religion and how young people were told not to marry, etc.
